This is the true story of Freddy and Walter--two young Slovak Jews, who were deported to Auschwitz in 1942. On 10 April 1944, after meticulous planning, and with the help and resilience of their inmates, they manage to escape. While the inmates they had left behind, courageously stand their ground against Nazi officers, the two men are driven on by the hope that their evidence can save lives. Emaciated and hurt, they make their way through the mountains back to Slovakia. With the help of chance encounters, they finally manage to cross the border and meet the resistance, and The Red Cross. They compile a detailed report about the systematic genocide at the camp, however, with Nazi propaganda and international liaisons still in place, their account seems to be too harrowing to believe.

A few years ago, tragic events combined the fate of three Catholic priests. Now, on every anniversary of the catastrophe that they miraculously escaped with their lives, the clergymen meet to celebrate the fact of their survival. Their everyday lives are, however, very different. Lisowski (Jacek Braciak) is an entrepreneurial curia worker in a big city who dreams of moving to the Vatican. The problem is that Archbishop Mordowicz (Janusz Gajos) is standing in his way, a luxurious dignitary who uses political influence to build the largest sanctuary in Poland. The second of the priests, Trybus (Robert Wieckiewicz), unlike Lisowski, is a rural pastor. Serving in a place full of poverty, he increasingly succumbs to human weaknesses. Kukula (Arkadiusz Jakubik) is also not very successful, and - despite his fervent faith - actually loses the trust of his parishioners day by day. Soon the stories of the three clergymen merge once again, and the events that will take place will have an impact on all of their lives.

The time is the seventeenth century. The beggar Maryna Schuchová hides the Host in her scarf at the Communion. Boblig accuses the wealthy burghers of witchcraft as well, and so wants to seize their possessions.

Based on the memoirs of Casanova, Fellini offers his version using rare visual daring and imagination. The film features a breathtaking performance from the sultry Sutherland as the original playboy in his latter days as he travels through Europe engaging in a variety of amorous adventures.

The setting is Vienna. A young American woman is brought to a hospital after overdosing on pills, apparently in a suicide attempt. A police detective suspects foul play on the part of her lover, an American psychology professor. As doctors try to save her life, the detective interrogates the professor, and through flashbacks we see the events leading up to the woman's overdose; her stormy and intensely sexual relationship with the professor, her heavy drinking and numerous affairs, and her estrangement from her Czech husband. A darkly erotic study of several rather unsympathetic characters.

Herbalist Jan Mikolase dedicated his life to caring for the sick despite the immense obstacles he faced in his private and public life. Born at the turn of the 20th century, Mikolasek wins fame and fortune using unorthodox plant-based treatment methods to cure a wide range of diseases. Already a local institution in Czechoslovakia before World War II, the healer gains in reputation and wealth both during the Nazi occupation and under Communist rule. One after the other, each regime wants to use his skills and in return give him protection. But how high shall the costs be to maintain this status as the tide turns.

The terrible effect of the Nazis upon a single Jewish family provides the basis for this drama. The family cannot handle the strain and gradually breaks up. Interspliced within the film are newsreel clips of angry crowds, and scenes of horror.

Two young recruits in their late twenties, Jozef Gabcik and Jan Kubis, are sent to Prague to assassinate the most ruthless Nazi leader - Reich-protector Reinhard Heydrich, Head of the SS, the Gestapo, and the architect of the "Final Solution".

In the garden of a pension, Eva and her husband Josef are enjoying a siesta. Here, they meet with the lonesome, mysterious-looking Robert. During play, a key falls out of Robert's pocket. The curious Eva picks it up and sets off on an expedition. In Robert's room, she finds a briefcase soiled with mud, which Robert had forgotten by her parsley patch before, and in it, a date-stamp. Soon afterwards, she learns that another victim of an unknown murderer of women has been found, with a number and date stamped on her forehead. Eva concludes that the murderer must be Robert.
