Stephen Moyer

'Stephen Moyer' (qv)'s passion for acting began in local theatre in Brentwood & Chelmsford, Essex where he also made a name for himself with his own theatre company "The Reject Society". He then trained at LAMDA and began his professional acting career on stage, including 2 years with the RSC ("Romeo & Juliet", "The Thebans", "Columbus"), touring in "Romeo & Juliet" with the Oxford Stage in the title role of "Romeo", and in the world premiere of 'Pete Townshend' (qv)'s rock opera "The Iron Man" at "The Young Vic". British television credits include leading roles in Channel 4 dramas _Men Only (2001)_ (qv), _NY-LON (2004)_ (qv), Five's _Menace (2002)_ (qv) and the BBC's _The Grand (1997)_ (qv), _Lilies (2007)_ (qv) and _Empathy (2007)_ (qv), as well as a number of guest roles in popular shows such as _Cold Feet (1997)_ (qv), _Midsomer Murders (1997)_ (qv) and _Waking the Dead (2000)_ (qv). In the meantime, he made his screen debut starring in the eponymous role in _Prince Valiant (1997)_ (qv) with 'Katherine Heigl' (qv), followed by _Quills (2000)_ (qv) with 'Geoffrey Rush' (qv), 'Kate Winslet' (qv), 'Joaquin Phoenix' (qv) & 'Michael Caine' (qv), as well as leading roles in subsequent movies including _Entrusted (2003)_ (qv) and _Restraint (2008)_ (qv). U.S. television credits include leading roles in _The Wonderful World of Disney: Princess of Thieves (2001)_ (qv) with 'Keira Knightley' (qv), NBC's mini-series _Uprising (2001)_ (qv) with 'David Schwimmer' (qv), 'Hank Azaria' (qv) and 'Donald Sutherland' (qv), USA Network's Golden Globe and Emmy-nominated _The Starter Wife (2007)_ (qv) starring 'Debra Messing' (qv), and co-starring with 'Anna Paquin' (qv) in 'Alan Ball' (qv)'s Golden Globe-nominated show for HBO; _True Blood (2008)_ (qv) as the 173-year-old vampire "Bill Compton".::Pandaish
