داستان این فیلم نیز زندگی نامه ی فردی است به نام سام چیلدرز که خود فروشنده ی مواد مخدر بوده که بعد ها ناجی کودکان بسیاری می شود. داستان از این قرار است که ناجی توبه کرده ی ما پس از آنکه سبک زندگی خود را تغییر می دهد تصمیم می گیرد به شرق افریقا برود تا از کودکان بی گناهی که در ان مناطق زندگی می کنند حمایت کند و مانع از ربوده شدن، به کار گرفته شدن و به جنگ فرستاده شدن آنها شود. اما او این کار را به سبک خودش انجام می دهد و خود اسلحه به دست می گیرد و به جنگ با دلالان کودک میرود.
