'Greg Poppleton' (qv) grew up in Sydney, Australia.He was the fourth of five children to Bert, a bus driver, and Aileen (Stapleton), a shop worker. He is of English and Irish ancestry.After being top of his school, Christian Brothers Burwood, he won a scholarship to attend his final two years of high school at the selective Fort Street High School in Sydney.Poppleton has an honors degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of New South Wales, Sydney, and a Graduate Diploma in Communications, with a writing and textual theory major, from the University of Technology, Sydney.He was discovered in a cattle call for a kids program and made his movie debut in a scene with 'Nicole Kidman' (qv) in _Moulin Rouge! (2001)_ (qv). He has since been in one-on-one movie scenes with 'Adrien Brody' (qv) and 'John Goodman' (qv).'Greg Poppleton' (qv) is Australia's only authentic 1920s-30s singer with over 1.2 million YouTube hits.
