Bibi Besch

'Bibi Besch' (qv) was born in Vienna, Austria, to race car driver Gotfrid Köchert and actress 'Gusti Huber' (qv). She was a very busy supporting actress who had worked in television for over twenty years before being nominated for an Emmy Award as a supporting actress for _Doing Time on Maple Drive (1992)_ (qv) and another in 1993 for a guest appearance on _Northern Exposure (1990)_ (qv). A veteran of dozens of television movies from 1976 to 1995, Besch also appeared in several feature films, most notably as Dr. Carol Marcus in _Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan (1982)_ (qv). Other notable feature film roles were in _Steel Magnolias (1989)_ (qv), _Tremors (1990)_ (qv) and _Who's That Girl (1987)_ (qv). Her stage work included the plays "Fame," "The Chinese Prime Minister," "Here Lies Jeremy Troy" and "Once for the Asking." Other television credits include guest roles on popular network shows such as _ER (1994)_ (qv) and _Murder, She Wrote (1984)_ (qv). Besch's television series and miniseries roles ranged from the soap opera _Somerset (1970)_ (qv) to _Backstairs at the White House (1979)_ (qv) to _The Hamptons (1983)_ (qv).
