Marian Waldman

Character actress 'Marian Waldman' (qv) was born on December 16, 1924 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The daughter of a professor mother and a physician father, Waldman was an Ashkenazi Jew. Marian began her career as a stage actress in the 1950's in the Toronto area initially as a choir girl before branching out by acting in stage plays. Outside of her work in live theatre, Waldman also acted in a few films as well as was a writer for several TV shows; she was especially memorable as the drunken foul-mouthed housemother Mrs. Mac in the seasonal slasher classic _Black Christmas (1974)_ (qv). Her hobbies included reading, traveling, astrology, and attending both parties and various events around Toronto. Marian died at age sixty on July 5, 1985 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.::woodyanders
