Jane Wald

American comedienne and glamour girl of the 1960s, Jane was invited by her friend, 'Barbara Steele' (qv), to visit the 20th Century-Fox commissary, where she was discovered by an independent producer. She had small but significant roles in 'J. Lee Thompson' (qv)'s _What a Way to Go! (1964)_ (qv), as a beatnik painter living in Paris; in 'Henry Koster' (qv)'s _Dear Brigitte (1965)_ (qv), as 'James Stewart' (qv)'s sexy neighbor, and in the television series, _Batman (1966)_ (qv), starring 'Adam West' (qv), playing Jill against 'Cesar Romero' (qv)'s Joker. She was also seen in Thompson's _John Goldfarb, Please Come Home! (1965)_ (qv), as one of 'Peter Ustinov' (qv)'s harem wives; and in 'David Swift' (qv)'s _Under the Yum Yum Tree (1963)_ (qv), as one of 'Jack Lemmon' (qv)'s flirts. She was married to writer 'William L. Driscoll' (qv) from 1963 to 1966. In 1967, she married Joseph F. Antonoff, with whom she had sons Joseph and John, and daughter Jennifer.
