Paige Turco

'Paige Turco' (qv) was born in Boston, Massachusetts on May 17, 1965. When she was a year old her father passed away and her mother moved them to Springfield, Massachusetts. As a child she studied to become a ballerina. She performed as a soloist with the New England Dance Conservatory, The Amherst Ballet Theatre Company and the Western Massachusetts Ballet Company, but her dreams were shattered when an ankle injury terminated her career as a dancer at the age of 14. She was forced to re-evaluate her career decision and focused on drama and musical comedies instead. Paige graduated from the University of Connecticut with a degree in drama.She landed her first soap opera part in 1987 in CBS's _Guiding Light (1952)_ (qv), as a troubled teenager who is adopted by a wealthy woman. The following year she transferred to ABC's _All My Children (1970)_ (qv), where she played Melanie Cortlant. In 1989 Paige left soaps and tried her luck on the big screen, starring in such films as _Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze (1991)_ (qv) and _Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III (1993)_ (qv), The November Conspiracy (2000) and _Vibrations (1996)_ (qv) before landing a lead role as Gail Emory in 'Shaun Cassidy' (qv)'s controversial television series _American Gothic (1995)_ (qv). The series was canceled after only one season. She met and fell in love with 'John Mese' (qv) on the show and the couple got engaged shortly after it ended. Sh and Mese went on to work alongside each other in _Dark Tides (1998)_ (qv) and _R2PC: Road to Park City (2000)_ (qv) before the couple called off their engagement in 2001 and went their separate ways. Paige starred in many independent films, including _Urbania (2000)_ (qv), _Astoria (2000)_ (qv), _Runaway Virus (2000)_ (qv) and _The Pompatus of Love (1995)_ (qv) and had a few guest appearances in such television series as _NYPD Blue (1993)_ (qv), _Party of Five (1994)_ (qv), _The Fugitive (2000)_ (qv) and _Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (1999)_ (qv) before landing a lead role in 'Wolfgang Petersen' (qv)'s and 'Shaun Cassidy' (qv)'s series _The Agency (2005)_ (qv). Paige played Terri Lowell, a graphical technician for the OTS department and sometimes field agent. "The Agency" lasted two seasons before being canceled by CBS.
