Nicholas Sparks

'Nicholas Sparks' (qv) was born on December 31, 1965 in Omaha, Nebraska. He graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1988 and is one of the more critically-acclaimed authors of the past 5 years. He is the author of 5 best-selling books, including "The Notebook" and "The Rescue". Eleven of his books, _Message in a Bottle (1999)_ (qv), _A Walk to Remember (2002)_ (qv), _The Notebook (2004)_ (qv), _Nights in Rodanthe (2008)_ (qv), The Last Song [2010] , Dear John [2010] , The Lucky One [2012], Safe Haven [2013] , The Best of Me [2014] , _The Longest Ride (2015)_ (qv) and _The Choice (2016)_ (qv)have been adapted into blockbuster movies.
