'Laurel Brady' (qv) is an award-winning Toronto-based screenwriter, playwright and actor. She has written three short films, "Me, Again" (2018), "Pop the Question" (2018) and Billable Hours (2015). Brady's plays, "Surfacing" (2017) and "Early Retirement" (2015), have been featured on stages such as Theatre Passe Muraille, The Arts Project, and various theatre venues across Ontario. Laurel has performed across Ontario and internationally in Adelaide, Australia. Laurel has story-edited multiple plays, screenplays, and most recently, edited the book, "Happier with Habits." Brady is the co-creator of a playwright showcase, "Write On Readings" and the creator of For "The Love Of Writing" workshops which help new and blocked writers. Laurel studied theatre at York University, screenwriting at George Brown College, and sketch writing at Second City Toronto. Brady is a recent grad of the Canadian Film Centre's 2018 Writers' Lab. Most recently, Brady was one of the recipients of the Magee Tv Diverse Screenwriters Award.::'Laurel Brady' (qv)
