Geraldine Smith

'Geraldine Smith' (qv), a native New Yorker, was discovered by 'Paul Morrissey' (qv) and 'Andy Warhol' (qv) at the age of 16, in Max's Kansas City. After starring opposite 'Joe Dallesandro' (qv) in _Flesh (1968)_ (qv), she turned down the film _Trash (1970)_ (qv), disapproving of the title. A wonderful character actress, who has been underused commercially, she now studies psychology and is currently an alcohol and substance abuse counselor. A former Warhol superstar, Geri considers herself to be a Warhol survivor. Busy with studies, she is now working on a memoir in screenplay form, while acting occasionally.::mjbmjb
