Adam Sinclair

Adam grew up in the Scottish town of East Kilbride, where he attended the local East Kilbride rep theater company - the same starting point for fellow Scots, actor 'John Hannah' (qv).His passion for acting lasted throughout his childhood and he was accepted to Glasgow's prestigious RSAMD, straight from high school. Following in the footsteps of other notable Scots actors like 'Billy Boyd' (qv), 'David Tennant' (qv), 'Daniela Nardini' (qv) and 'Robert Carlyle' (qv), he graduated, after three years, with a BA in Acting.His first professional job came along, while still in his final year, when he appeared in the famous Kings Theatre Panto, with 'Elaine C. Smith' (qv) and the late 'Gerard Kelly' (qv). He was also spotted during his last year at college and picked to star in Channel 4's fictional boy-band Mocumentary, _Boyz Unlimited (1999)_ (qv), with 'James Cordon'.After spending some time in London, where he formed his own theater company, "Jockney Productions", and wrote his first play, "Disintigration", he was cast in the movie, _To End All Wars (2001)_ (qv), an epic POW film set during World War 2. Filmed in Hawaii with a stellar cast, including 'Kiefer Sutherland' (qv), 'Robert Carlyle' (qv) and 'James Cosmo' (qv), this film also introduced Adam to his future wife, Michelle Kath, who was visiting her stepfather, 'Kiefer Sutherland' (qv), on the set.After _To End All Wars (2001)_ (qv), Adam returned to the UK and appeared in many television series, including _Hollyoaks: Movin' On (2001)_ (qv), _As If (2001)_ (qv), _Holby City (1999)_ (qv) and, perhaps most memorably, as the bleached-blonde air steward "Will O'Brian" in _Mile High (2003)_ (qv).After a few years of dividing his time between London and Los Angeles, Adam and Michelle were married in Edinburgh and, eventually, settled in Los Angeles in 2005.Since then, Adam has worked on a variety of US television and film projects, including _Painkiller Jane (2007)_ (qv), with 'Kristanna Loken' (qv), National Lampoon's _Van Wilder 2: The Rise of Taj (2006)_ (qv), _The Summit (2008)_ (qv), with 'Christopher Plummer' (qv), 'Rachelle Lefevre' (qv) and 'James Purefoy' (qv), the award-winning _The Day of the Triffids (2009)_ (qv), with 'Dougray Scott' (qv), 'Eddie Izzard' (qv) and 'Joely Richardson' (qv).2011 looks set to be the biggest year for Adam to date. At the end of 2010, he beat off stiff competition to land his first leading film role, as "Lloyd Buist", in the adaptation of 'Irvine Welsh' (qv)'s critically- acclaimed novel, "Ecstasy". This highly-anticipated movie, 'Irvine Welsh' (qv)'s Ecstasy (2011), also starring 'Kristin Kreuk' (qv) (_Smallville (2001)_ (qv)) and 'Billy Boyd' (qv) ("Lord Of The Rings"), will be released, internationally, at the end of 2011.In another starring role, Adam recently became a father for the second time to baby Quinn Sinclair, a little brother for six-year-old Hamish Sinclair.::Wire Media
