Vladimir Simonov

'Vladimir Simonov' (qv) is a popular Russian film and stage actor, member of Vakhtangov Theatre in Moscow.He was born Vladimir Aleksandrovich Simonov on June 7, 1957, in Russia. From 1976 - 1980 he studied acting at the class of 'Alla Kazanskaya' (qv) at Shchukin Theatrical School of Vakhtangov Theatre in Moscow. Since 1980 'Vladimir Simonov' (qv) has been member of the troupe at Vakhtangov Theatre in Moscow. He also appeared in several stage productions by director 'Oleg Efremov' (qv) at Moscow Art Theatre and other theatrical companies during the 1980s and 1990s. In 1998 'Vladimir Simonov' (qv) created the character as Soziy in Molière's 'Amfitrion' and the play has been a continuous success for 9 seasons in a row. Since the 2004 premiere of 'Mademuaselle Nitush', Simonov has been delivering critically acclaimed performances as Colonel Alfred Zhibuse opposite 'Mariya Aronova' (qv) and 'Nonna Grishaeva' (qv). In 2007 'Vladimir Simonov' (qv) premiered as Peredonov co-starring opposite 'Olga Tumaykina' (qv) in "Melky bes" stage adaptation of the eponymous novel by Fedor Sologub.'Vladimir Simonov' (qv) was designated People's Actor of Russia (2004), and received numerous awards for his works on stage and in films.
