Wayne Shorter

'Wayne Shorter' (qv) was born on August 25, 1933 in Newark, New Jersey, USA. He is known for his work on 'Wayne Shorter' (qv): Zero Gravity, _Miles Ahead (2015)_ (qv), _Finding Forrester (2000)_ (qv), and _The Fugitive (1993)_ (qv). He has also appeared in the recent documentaries _Jaco (2015)_ (qv) and _Marcus (2015)_ (qv).Considered the greatest living jazz composer, he is a recipient of more than 10 Grammy 'Awards' (qv), a Lifetime Achievement Grammy, five honorary doctorate degrees, the Kennedy Center Honor and many other awards and honors for his contributions to music.Wayne also serves as a professor of music at the Herb Alpert School of Music at UCLA.::anonymous
