Peter Schoenaerts

Peter Schoenaerts (Belgium, 1972) is a multilingual actor fluent in Dutch (native), English, French, German, and Spanish. A graduate in Literature and Linguistics (Louvain/Oxford), he went on to study acting at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York, with additional training at the Central School of Speech and Drama, East 15 Acting School, and The Method Studio in London. His favorite acting teachers include Don Fellows (London) and Barbara Rubin (New York). Peter is often cast as a layered, intelligent character - doctor, lawyer, priest, journalist, or teacher - and is known for his subtle intensity and sharp comedic timing. He enjoys a wide range of genres, from historical and crime dramas to arthouse cinema and sitcoms. Recent credits include the ITV crime drama Professor T with Ben Miller and the feature film Mr. K, alongside Crispin Glover and Sunnyi Melles, directed by Tallulah H. Schwab. Now based between Brussels and London, Peter looks forward to bringing his language skills and versatility to the European film market and international co-productions.
