Lee Ann Kurr

'Lee Ann Kurr' (qv) (she/her) is a screenwriter and director based in Burbank, CA. She comes from a classical theatre background, having studied and performed with the London Dramatic Academy, the American Shakespeare Center, and the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey. Her work is female-forward with diverse character ensembles, using genre to heighten a coming-of-age narrative.Her feature script Persephone, a re-imagining of the Greek myth, was a 2019 Academy Nicholl Fellowship Semifinalist.Lee Ann's first feature Student Body, starring Christian Camargo, Montse Hernandez, and Harley Quinn Smith, is represented by MPX Films and will be released in 2021.::'Lee Ann Kurr' (qv)
