Shannon Purser

'Shannon Purser' (qv) is an American actress, known to audiences for her roles in the series _Stranger Things (2016)_ (qv) as Barbara "Barb" Holland, and CW's teen drama _Riverdale (2017)_ (qv) as "Ethel Muggs". She was born on June 27, 1997, in Atlanta, Georgia, where she worked at a movie theatre. She switched her focus on a career in acting. After making her screen debut in 2016 on "Stranger Things", other television projects soon followed, including "Riverdale" (2017) and a pilot for a series called _Rise (2018)_ (qv). Between television projects, Shannon made her film debut in the fantasy-horror venture _Wish Upon (2017)_ (qv). She quickly joined the cast for the 2018 series _Final Space (2018)_ (qv) and the 2018 comedy _Life of the Party (2018)_ (qv), and landed her first leading role, in the 2018 comedy _Sierra Burgess Is a Loser (2018)_ (qv).::WriteUps1987
