Leon Russom

Best known as _Prison Break (2005)_ (qv)'s General Jonathan Kranz (Padman) and the Malibu police chief in _The Big Lebowski (1998)_ (qv), Russom was, for 22 years, a New York stage actor whose day job was soaps, with long tenures as Joe Taylor on _Love Is a Many Splendored Thing (1967)_ (qv), Willis Frame on _Another World (1964)_ (qv), and Jack Darling on _All My Children (1970)_ (qv). The feature _No Way Out (1987)_ (qv) brought Russom to Los Angeles in 1987.A year later, after starring opposite 'Carol Burnett' (qv) in _Hostage (1988)_ (qv), he moved to LA permanently to star in NBC's _TV 101 (1988)_ (qv). Emmy-nominated for _Long Road Home (1991)_ (qv), Russom has continued his theatrical activity in Los Angeles (and on Broadway) while establishing himself as a presence in episodic television and feature films, including _True Grit (2010)_ (qv), his second film with Joel and Ethan Coen.::'Leon Russom' (qv)
