Omono Okojie

A child is a child. This is what "Omono" translates to. Named by her grandfather in response to the overwhelming preference that she be born male, Omono's sex is but the first of many surprises she's since brought forward. Born in Lagos, Nigeria to two journalists, she was exposed to and nurtured within a rich culture of the arts. Perhaps fueled by her parent's profession, one of her earliest aspirations was to be a writer. So confident in her talents, at age eight she boldly proclaimed school an unnecessary hurdle toward her ambitions. Much to her parent's joy, she did not turn out a primary school dropout and instead found passion both on page and on stage. This passion has remained as she crossed the Atlantic to Los Angeles, CA where she now resides. She is best known for her work in _Gook (2017)_ (qv), _NCIS (2003)_ (qv), and _Trees of Peace_ (qv).::M.W.L
