Anton Goenechea

Antón Goenechea is a Spanish film director and screenwriter. He has worked in projects in Spain, Mexico, the United States, India, and Colombia. In New York, Goenechea directed his first feature Bad Vegan and the Teleportation Machine, a film he wrote together with actor and comic Brianne Berkson. Bad Vegan and the Teleportation Machine was screened in the Woodstock Film Festival and the Brooklyn Film Festival. As a screenwriter, Goenechea has authored Humberto Hinojosa's last three Movies: Paraiso Perdido (2016), Camino a Marte (2017), and Un Papá Pirata (f.k.a. Lucha de Gigantes) (2019). He also wrote the last film of the celebrated Mexican director, Jorge Michel Grau, Bunker (2019), produced by Dynamo. Goenechea wrote two episodes for Green Frontier (2019) a Netflix series, shot over the summer of 2018, which takes place in the Colombian Amazon. The original series is produced by Dynamo together with award-winning filmmaker, Ciro Guerra, who acted as its director and executive producer. He was part of the writers' room for Netflix original series Historia de un Crimen: Colmenares (2019).
