Ruben Najera

'Ruben Najera' (qv) was born and raised in El Centro, Ca. Ruben is a well known writer and producer in the world of comic books. He is also the owner of the world famous Eisner nominated Metahumans Comics store and the founder of Imperial Valley Comic Con. He is of Mexican descent, his mother is from Mexicali, Mexico and his father was born in the border city of Calexico, Ca. Ruben has had various signature products for many well known brands through his previous career as a professional skateboarder. From his early sponsorship years on Tony Hawks Birdhouse Skateboards flow team to being introduced into the professional ranks with his boards on Six Starz skateboards. Ruben had record breaking sales with Nestle on his signature PowerBar boxes which sold in stores worldwide. His marketing campaign at the time was shared alongside with NBA athlete Blake Griffin. He has graced the cover of numerous skateboard magazines, has had various work as a stuntman in music videos and has been an avid filmmaker from a very early age.::Trapezoid Films
