Bartolomeo Pagano

Strongman who won role of Maciste in _Cabiria (1914)_ (qv), and took the character's name as his own stage name in a series of films for the next 14 years. After Pagano's death, the character of Maciste was played by several other actors.::Jim Beaver <jumblejim@prodigy.net>
