Ryan David

'Ryan David' (qv) is a Director, Writer, and Producer based in Lisbon, Portugal, and LA. He studied filmmaking and philosophy of mind at the Gallatin School of Individualized Study at NYU. With a background in cognitive science and psychology, his work often deals with consciousness, memory, and the nature of time on relationships, with a focus on abstract expressive visuals and spectacle.Growing up in South Florida, and Atlanta he developed an intense interest in world/classic cinema, and in particular, the works of Nicolas Roeg, Krzysztof Kieslowski, Wim Wenders, and Nicholas Ray. The paintings of Jean-Michel Basquiat and Alex Grey were also early influences in both style and sensibility.The love of making and creating - of doing and experiencing - drives him to inspire and be inspired by all the people in his life.
