Abed Abest

'Abed Abest' (qv) (Director, Writer, and Actor)'Abed Abest' (qv) was born in 1987 in Bandar Abbas, Hormozgan Province, Iran, and was graduated from Mahshahr Azad University in architecture. He has a strong background in theatre as an actor and went over to play in movies for several known Iranian directors such as Shahram Mokri. His first main role was in 2013 in "Fish and Cat" which premiered at the Venice festival, followed by his second presence in Mokri's film "Invasion" (2017) which premiered at the Berlinale Panorama section 2018. Besides acting Abed followed the ambition of writing and directing and his debut as a writer and director with the short film "I haven't seen Hossein since the day before yesterday" (2012).
