Laur Allen

'Laur Allen' (qv) is an LA native of Chinese, British, and Hungarian-Jewish heritage. She made her network TV debut as the recurring character "Juliet Helton" on CBS's The Young and the Restless. Her upcoming projects include the action-thriller, "Aimee," and a holiday romcom entitled "Christmas at the Ranch." Laur discovered her love for acting as an adult, having grown up as a competitive figure skater, basketball player, and classical pianist. And though she has since lost the ability to do a double axle, Laur now does tactical pistol training and she also attended sniper school. Laur's first experience in front of the camera occurred unexpectedly when she won Miss Los Angeles Chinatown, becoming the first mixed-ethnicity Queen in the pageant's history. That year, she was honored to serve as the ambassador for the Southern California Chinese community both locally and abroad in China. Following her term as Miss LA Chinatown, Laur was invited to compete in Miss Chinese International in Hong Kong, where she made Top 7 and won Miss Friendship, voted on by her peers. Prior to her acting career, Laur worked behind the camera as a production assistant, then in production and development, and then in the television marketing department at a major Hollywood studio. In addition, she graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Vanderbilt University, is a class of 2020 graduate from USC Gould School of Law, and is an avid animal advocate.::JTD
