Douglas Kidd

'Douglas Kidd' (qv) is an actor who can go from playing strong, capable and honest men to playing men who are villainous, deceitful and dangerous. He was born in Vancouver, Canada, and has Finnish, French, Irish, Norwegian and Scottish ancestry from his mother, and Austrian and Slovakian ancestry from his father.An all-around athlete, Kidd attended Vancouver's Simon Fraser University on a wrestling scholarship for his first two years, and competed at tournaments in both Canada and the United States. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English Literature, and then immersed himself in the University's Theatre Program. After completing the program, Kidd moved east to Toronto and performed professionally on stage for several years while obtaining his first roles in film and television. These roles included a reserve officer in Top Cops (1992), a political handler in The Hidden Room (1993), a wealthy socialite in Forever Knight (1995), and a TV news reporter in Kung Fu: The Legend Continues (1995). More recently, he's played an FBI agent in The Art of More (2015), a mob-affiliated CEO in Trust No One (2016), a police officer in Awakening the Zodiac (2017), and a menacing doorman in She Never Died (2019).::Anonymous
