Eric Mendelsohn

'Eric Mendelsohn' (qv) graduated in fine arts at the Purchase New York State University in 1989. He became a painter and made a debut in the movies as assistant to 'Jeffrey Kurland' (qv), 'Woody Allen' (qv)'s costume designer. Hemade his first film - a short entitled 'Through An Open Window - in 1992. Six years later he directed his first feature, the poetic and brilliant _Judy Berlin (1999)_ (qv), which earned him the best director award at the 1999 Sundance Film Festival.::Guy Bellinger
