Gary McLarty

'Gary McLarty' (qv) was born on January 16, 1941 as Gary Raymond McLarty. In his youth Gary lived at the McKinley Home for Boys in Los Angeles. He was there during the filming of _East of Eden (1955)_ (qv) starring 'James Dean' (qv). He worked as an extra. He is known for his work on _The Blues Brothers (1980)_ (qv), _Beverly Hills Cop (1984)_ (qv), and _Jurassic Park (1993)_ (qv). The tragedy plagued _Twilight Zone: The Movie (1983)_ (qv) found Gary in the helicopter that fired the blank shots which resulted in three fatalities when things went wrong on the ground. In 2001 Gary testified in court that he turned down 'Robert Blake' (qv)'s offer to kill Blake's wife, 'Bonnie Lee Bakley' (qv). He died on October 11, 2014 when a pickup truck driven by fellow stuntman 'Bob Orrison' (qv) making a U-turn was broadsided by a Jeep Cherokee in Rancho Cordova, California, USA. Both stuntmen were killed instantly. The two persons in the Jeep Cherokee were hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.::SAGE STEPS
