Randy Spelling

'Randy Spelling' (qv) is son of legendary late Hollywood producer 'Aaron Spelling' (qv) and his wife, 'Candy Spelling' (qv). He and his sister, actress 'Tori Spelling' (qv), grew up in Beverly Hills, CA where he attended Montclair College Prep.Randy made his television debut in 1992 on the Fox prime time series _Beverly Hills, 90210 (1990)_ (qv) and later held a recurring role on the popular program. Randy went on to star in the NBC series _Malibu Shores (1996)_ (qv) and NBC's hit soap opera _Sunset Beach (1997)_ (qv). He also guest-starred on the WB series _7th Heaven (1996)_ (qv).After starring for three and a half years on _Sunset Beach (1997)_ (qv), Randy transitioned into the record business and formed his own record label called Spellbound/Vocab Records. As CEO, he oversaw operations of A&R as well as the production, promotion, marketing and distribution departments. Spellbound/Vocab Records released albums for a number of platinum artists.While continuing his work in the music business, Randy made his feature film debut in the thriller _Held for Ransom (2000)_ (qv) (Emmet/Furla Films) opposite 'Dennis Hopper' (qv) and 'Zachery Ty Bryan' (qv). He went on to co-star in the indie cult hit _Dorm Daze (2003)_ (qv) and also held a co-starring role in _Pledge This! (2006)_ (qv) opposite 'Paris Hilton' (qv), 'Simon Rex' (qv), 'Paula Garcés' (qv), 'Sarah Carter' (qv) and 'Carmen Electra' (qv).Randy next played a role in the soon-to-be released indie horror flick _Dimples (2008)_ (qv) opposite 'Ashley Peldon' (qv) and 'Madeline Zima' (qv) and co-starred in the gritty indie horror _Hoboken Hollow (2006)_ (qv) opposite 'C. Thomas Howell' (qv), 'Michael Madsen' (qv), 'Dennis Hopper' (qv), 'Lin Shaye' (qv) and 'Jason Connery' (qv). Randy also starred in 'Michael Damian' (qv)'s critically-acclaimed directorial debut _Hot Tamale (2006)_ (qv) co-starring 'Carmen Electra' (qv), 'Diora Baird' (qv), [error], 'Harland Williams' (qv) and 'Jason Priestley' (qv), which won the Indie Spirit Best Picture Award at the 2006 Boston International Film Festival.Randy recently wrapped production on the environmentally-friendly independent feature _Cosmic Radio (2021)_ (qv), due out in 2007, in which he co-stars with 'Michael Madsen' (qv), 'Rider Strong' (qv) and 'Wes Studi' (qv).Following in his father's footsteps, Randy wrote a pilot for Paramount Television last year and is currently in development on a number of film and television projects that he will produce in 2007 and beyond.
