Declan Dineen

Declan Dineen is a working class writer originally from South Wales now based in Glasgow. He loves big characters and big ideas and telling propulsive stories filled with emotion. Here is a dispassionate list of some accomplishments: He is a member of BAFTA Connect, was part of the inaugural BBC Scottish Voices, he is an alum of the Edinburgh Film Festival Talent Lab and Talent Lab Connects and was part of the 2025/26 Sean Connery Talent Lab supported by NFTS and BBC Films. He has a BA in English lit and an MA in TV Writing. For some much needed colour: Declan was once a professional magician, he created and hosted the successful Videogame podcast Checkpoints in which he interviewed various video game luminaries about the games that shaped their life, and in 2013 Declan became worldwide news when he attempted to meet everyone who followed him on twitter. A feat which formed the basis of a sell out Fringe show. Declan is unlikely to attempt this again lest he end up in some kind of cult or militia
