Benjie Bancroft

Bit player 'Benjie Bancroft' (qv) was born on February 8, 1919 in Superior, Nebraska. Bancroft first began appearing in films in often uncredited minor roles in the late 1940's. An austere looking man with a long face and wavy hair, Benjie was frequently cast in both movies and TV shows alike as bailiffs, police officers, party guests, or bar patrons. Bancroft died at age 88 on March 7, 2007 in Huntington Beach, California.::woodyanders
