2020 was another exciting year for 'Leon' (qv)! As well as having a number of film & TV projects in development, 'Leon' (qv) starred in Hallmark's #1 movie of the year. "Time for Us to Come Home for Christmas" executive produced by Blake Shelton as well as joining the cast of the Showtime series "City on A Hill." In 2019 'Leon' (qv) starred in the movie 'Her Only Choice," an International Press Academy nominee for Best Movie Made for TV streaming on Netflix. 'Leon' (qv) also co-starred and executive produced the award-winning international TV series "40 & Single." 'Leon' (qv) is one of the stars of the new provocative series "A Luv Tale" premiering in 2021 as well as his recurring role on CBS' "Blue Bloods." 'Leon' (qv)'s band, 'Leon' (qv) & The Peoples released the band's second album, 'Love is a Beautiful Thing" on Spectra Music label with two top 20 Billboard singles and rave reviews. The band's "World's Gonna Come Around" music video as well as his New York based production company Motion Mob Films' PSA "We Will Thrive" is an example of 'Leon' (qv)'s activism thru art.Many fans were first wowed by his appearance in Madonna's most famous video "Like A Prayer," but more fans flocked to the theaters to see him in the lead role of Disney's blockbuster hit "Cool Runnings." He soon graced many excellent story lines such as New Line's urban sports drama 'Above The Rim," Tri-Star's action hit 'Cliffhanger," 20th Fox's hit "Waiting to Exhale," the NAACP Best Picture Award winning "Once Upon a Time When We Were Colored," and HBO's first original series"OZ."'Leon' (qv) continued to shine in musical roles such as Robert Townsend's "The Five Heartbeats" (voted #1 African American film by AOL), the Emmy Winning mini-series "'The Temptations' (qv)," as lead singer, 'David Ruffin' (qv) and the authorized biopic of "'Little Richard' (qv)," both warming him NAACP Best Actor nominations.
