Tim Smail

Born in Winton, Southland (That explains the quirky insanity). 'Tim Smail' (qv) started making films from roughly 2004 (although most of them were crappy nonsensical features that could have been done by a mentally impaired chimp). His first credible short flick was Gamma 7 - A Sci-Fi/Comedy/Cult short film that took inspirations from 1950's Science fiction movies and early British cult shows such as 'Red Dwarf', 'Dr Who' and 'The Tomorrow People'. His other noteworthy short features include 'Anywhere But Gore' - A parody on inbred horror flicks, 'Things' - A Horror/Cult focusing on a teen girls night in gone wrong, and 'Spookers' (Co-directed with Will Allan) - A family aimed Mystery/Thriller taking inspiration from such 90's kids shows as 'Goosebumps', 'Are You Afraid of the Dark?' and 'Beetleborgs'. He Also wrote and directed Aoraki Brothers Production's first feature 'Bad Romance'As well as writing and directing 'Tim Smail' (qv) has also done some very quirky acting roles, including: A drunken homeless person (Bad Romance), A man in a bra (Harper Road), A chronic masturbater (Anywhere But Gore), An oiled up cult sacrifice (The Curse of Abaddon), and a mentally impaired topless man chained to a table (Anywhere But Gore Parts 2 and 3)::Innuendo Pictures
