Alan Le May

'Alan Le May' (qv) was a novelist, short-story writer and screenwriter, although today he may be best remembered for his novels which served as the basis for two classic westerns, _The Searchers (1956)_ (qv) and _The Unforgiven (1960)_ (qv).
