Duncan Lamont

'Duncan Lamont' (qv) began his career in the 1940's in _Waterfront Women (1950)_ (qv) and _The Adventures of Quentin Durward (1955)_ (qv) then went to Hollywood for _Mutiny on the Bounty (1962)_ (qv). Returning to Britain he went into what he described as one of his happiest roles opposite Margaret Rutherford in _Murder at the Gallop (1963)_ (qv). He described himself as a 'heavy with a capacity for light villainy' as he was never really a bad villain. When the film is nearly over there's usually justice to contend with, While sometimes he's was on the right side of the law never the less he always seems to end up dead or defeated. Television work took him to America for appearances in such as _The Life and Legend of Wyatt Earp (1955)_ (qv), _Hawaiian Eye (1959)_ (qv), and _The Alaskans (1959)_ (qv), while British credits included such as _Z Cars (1962)_ (qv), _Danger Man (1960)_ (qv), and _Dixon of Dock Green (1955)_ (qv).::Tonyman 5
