'Gregory Lamberson' (qv) is a multiple award winning filmmaker and author who specializes in the horror genre. Perhaps best known for the 1988 midnight movie cult classic Slime City, his most recent films as a director include the supernatural thriller Widow's Point starring Craig Sheffer, Johnny Gruesome, and the horror comedy Killer Rack. He has worked in various capacities on such other genre films as I Was a Teenage Zombie, Plutonium Baby, Brain Damage, West New York, Model Hunger and the SyFy TV movie Battledogs. At the 2019 edition of the Shawna Shea Film Festival, he was honored with the William Gerrity Award, named after the legendary Hollywood hyphenate William C. Gerrity. Fangoria magazine called him "the busiest man in horror."As an author, Lamberson is a three-time winner of the IPPY Gold Medal for Horror and a three-time Bram Stoker Award finalist. His novels include Black Creek, Johnny Gruesome, the occult detective series The Jake Helman Files (Personal Demons, Desperate Souls, Cosmic Forces, Tortured Spirits, Storm Demon and Human Monsters), The Julian Year, and the werewolf trilogy The Frenzy Cycle (The Frenzy Way, The Frenzy War, The Frenzy Wolves). His novellas include Carnage Road and Scaremonger, and he is the author of the instructional filmmaking book Cheap Scares: Low Budget Horror Filmmakers Share Their Secrets. An advocate for film production in Western New York, he is co-founder of Buffalo Dreams Fantastic Film Festival.::Anonymous
