Laia Costa

'Laia Costa' (qv) is a Spanish actress. She is known for _Victoria (2015)_ (qv) and Newness (2017). She speaks fluent Catalan, Spanish, French and English. Laia was nominated for the 2017 BAFTA EE Rising Star Award, for her role in the critically acclaimed Victoria, for which she became the first foreign actress to win a Lola, the biggest award by German Academy of Cinema, won Best Actress at the Gaudí 'Awards' (qv) by the Catalan Academy of Cinema and was also nominated Best European Actress in the European Film 'Awards' (qv). The New York Times includes her in 2015's "Breakthrough Performances of the Fall Season."Costa also starred in the short film Las pequeñas cosas (2016).
