'Julia Effertz' (qv) is an award-nominated German actress of Polish and Flemish heritage who most recently starred in _My Zoe (2019)_ (qv), alongside 'Julie Delpy' (qv), 'Richard Armitage' (qv), 'Gemma Arterton' (qv) and 'Daniel Brühl' (qv). Growing up trilingually with English, German and French, Julia went on to train as an actress in Paris, Oxford and London, where her dramatic range and comedic chops earned her rave reviews. While writing, producing and acting in her first short film _Fanmail (2012)_ (qv), in which she played a bereaved fan hell-bent on revenge opposite 'Michael Epp' (qv), Julia made her German television debut playing a Muslim convert in the family drama _Die Kinder meiner Tochter (2013)_ (qv) opposite 'Jürgen Prochnow' (qv), 'René Ifrah' (qv) and 'Kida Khodr Ramadan' (qv). Julia has received multiple nominations as an actress and screenwriter, including as "Best Lead Actress" at the Off West End 'Awards' (qv) London in 2011, as Marlene Acting Award finalist at the 2016 Snowdance film festival, and as a Comedian at the 2018 Funny Women 'Awards' (qv) London with her British-German romantic comedy _So, how did you and dad meet? (2019)_ (qv). Julia divides her time between London, Berlin and Paris and works for projects across Europe and beyond.
