'Jon Jashni' (qv) is a media investor and content producer who operates through his company Raintree Ventures. Prior to founding Raintree, Jashni was President and Chief Creative Officer of Legendary Entertainment where, as an aspect of his duties, he oversaw the development and production of content such as _Kong: Skull Island (2017)_ (qv), _Warcraft (2016)_ (qv), _Godzilla (2014)_ (qv), _The Great Wall (2016)_ (qv), _Crimson Peak (2015)_ (qv), the Jackie Robinson biopic '_42 (2013)_ (qv)', _Lost in Space (2018)_ (qv) and _Pacific Rim (2013)_ (qv) .He co-founded the company in January 2006 and was integrally involved over the following ten years in evolving the company from a film-financing entity into a diversified, multi-platform media company. Prior to joining Legendary, Jashni was President of Hyde Park Entertainment, a production and financing company with output deals at 20th Century Fox, Disney and MGM. While there, he oversaw the production of _Shopgirl (2005)_ (qv), _Dreamer (2005)_ (qv), _Walking Tall (2004)_ (qv) and _Premonition (2007)_ (qv).Before joining Hyde Park, Jashni produced the romantic comedy hit _Sweet Home Alabama (2002)_ (qv) for Disney/Touchstone. He also co-produced two films that received a total of three Academy Award® nominations: the critically acclaimed drama _The Hurricane (1999)_ (qv), which garnered a "Best Actor" nomination for 'Denzel Washington' (qv), and _Anna and the King (1999)_ (qv), which starred 'Jodie Foster' (qv), and earned two Oscar nominations. He also, while a senior production executive at 20th Century Fox, oversaw the development and production of the fairy-tale success _Ever After: A Cinderella Story (1998)_ (qv).Jashni was earlier partnered with media power broker 'Irving Azoff' (qv) at the Warner Bros. -based Giant Pictures. Together they produced _The Hurricane (1999)_ (qv), _Jack Frost (1998)_ (qv) and _The Inkwell (1994)_ (qv). Jashni joined Azoff after serving as a production executive at Columbia Pictures, where he was involved with such films as _Groundhog Day (1993)_ (qv) and _Dracula (1992)_ (qv). Jashni began his career at 'Daniel Melnick' (qv)'s The IndieProd Company, where he was involved in the production of _Roxanne (1987)_ (qv), _Air America (1990)_ (qv), _Mountains of the Moon (1990)_ (qv), and _Punchline (1988)_ (qv).Jashni is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and the Producers Guild of America in addition to being a Trustee Emeritus of the American Film Institute. He holds a BS from the University of Southern California and an MBA from UCLA's Anderson School of Management.::*
