Dan Inosanto

Noted Filipino-American martial arts practitioner, who studied "jeet kune do" from fellow martial artist and actor 'Bruce Lee' (qv). Always seeking to improve his knowledge, Inosanto holds numerous belts in various martial arts including Asian, American & Brazilian disciplines such as Muay Thai, Pentjak Silat & Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. An accomplished weapons practitioner, he has showcased his skills in _Game of Death (1978)_ (qv) fighting 'Bruce Lee' (qv), he gave detective 'Burt Reynolds' (qv) a grisly "manicure" before being speared to death in _Sharky's Machine (1981)_ (qv), appeared in the 'John Carpenter' (qv) fantasy - martial arts adventure _Big Trouble in Little China (1986)_ (qv), and clashed pool cues with 'Steven Seagal' (qv) in the violent _Out for Justice (1991)_ (qv).He currently operates a martial arts school (The Inosanto Academy) in Marina Del Rey, California.::firehouse44@hotmail.com
