Anthony Z. James

Anthony Z James was born on 16 March 1989 in Vilnius, Lithuania, during the last year of Soviet occupation. There he studied traditional drawing and printmaking at the National Art School and then BA Film at the University of Westminster in London. After graduating as Art Director of the Student Oscar-winning film For Elsie (2011), Anthony entered the industry as a storyboard artist, collaborating with directors including Kathryn Bigelow, Jonathan Glazer, Michel Gondry, John Hillcoat, and Tarsem Singh. Since 2004 Anthony directed over a dozen shorts, including The Roof (2014), which after premiering at Raindance got picked up for distribution by Shorts International, and Day One (2018), which was developed into his debut feature Ghost (2020).::Anonymous
