Carl Hiaasen

'Carl Hiaasen' (qv) graduated from the University of Florida's School of Journalism in 1974. He has written many books, including "Tourist Season", "Double Whammy" and "Striptease", all crime/mystery books that take place in south Florida. In between writing books, Hiaasen writes a regular column for the Miami Herald. He's also a big fan of 'Warren Zevon' (qv).He sang backup on a 'Jimmy Buffett' (qv) song, "The Ballad of Skip Wiley", which is based on Hiassen's book "Tourist Season".
