Sidney Hayers

'Sidney Hayers' (qv) entered films in the early 1940s, working in the sound department, as a focus puller and in the cutting room before he began his directing career with _Rebound (1959)_ (qv) in 1958. The journeyman director's roster of credits also includes episodic TV on both sides of the Atlantic, a multitude of TV movies and second-unit directing chores on epic films like _A Night to Remember (1958)_ (qv) and _A Bridge Too Far (1977)_ (qv).
