Olga Segura

Olga is a Mexican producer, actress and activist based in the United States. Her most recent project as a producer is the American film "Waiting for the Barbarians", based on the novel written by the winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature, J.M. Coetzee. The film is directed by Oscar-nominated Colombian director Ciro Guerra with actors Mark Rylance, Gana Bayarsaikhan, Johnny Depp and Robert Pattinson. It premiered in competition at the 2019 Venice Film Festival.Olga is also the founder of "Decididas," a digital content series and platform that empowers women in Mexico and Latin America by creating awareness of the decisions they make every day in order to generate positive changes in society.Her work doesn't end there. Alongside Monica Ramirez and Alex Martinez Kondrake she formed The Latinx House, a physical space that activates at places of influence and acts to cultivate conversations around Latinx issues in the sectors of politics, entertainment, and beyond. They officially launched at Sundance 2020.For her efforts as a prominent voice within the LatinX community, Segura was named to Forbes Mexico's list of the 100 Most Powerful Women of 2019, as well as earning recognition as a "2019 Changemaker" by Marie Claire.::O.S.
