'Alex Al' (qv) is an American bassist, guitarist, keyboardist, composer, producer and arranger. He is best known for his work with pop icon Michael Jackson, serving as the King of Pop's bassist and keyboardist for a decade. He shared the stage with Michael at the legendary 30th anniversary concerts at Madison Square Garden, featuring the historical last performance of the original line up of the legendary Jackson 5, and appearing in the most successful music documentary film of all time, Michael Jackson's "This Is It" film, which has become the highest grossing documentary/concert movie of all time, with earnings of $300 million worldwide.Alex has played, written, produced and/or arranged on numerous albums in almost all genres of music, including Grammy award-winning albums which have sold over 100 million copies worldwide. His work appears on many well known records by pop, rock, hip-hop and jazz artists, and legendary icons alike, such as Stevie Wonder, Sting, Janet Jackson, George Benson, Mariah Carey and Tupac Shukur, Beyonce, John Legend, Ariana Grande and Birdy.
