Chris Cronin is a UK-based writer-director drawn to grounded genre storytelling. His debut feature, The Moor, premiered in FrightFest's 'First Blood' strand for emerging filmmakers, where it was named Best Scare by Total Film and earned him a Best Director nomination. The film went on to secure international distribution. Chris's earlier short film Oscar's Bell gained festival acclaim, winning Best Horror Short Film at HollyShorts, Dead by Dawn and the British Horror Film Festival, plus multiple Méliès d'Argent nominations. His ultra-short horror Balcony won the 15 Second Horror Film Challenge, where it was personally selected as the top pick by Lights Out and Shazam! director David F. Sandberg. His work has screened at Fantasia, London Short Film Festival, Raindance, and appeared on platforms such as ALTER, Short of the Week, and Omeleto. Alongside filmmaking, Chris teaches at MetFilm School in Leeds.
