'David Gwillim' (qv) was a leading man on British Television in the 1970s to the mid 1980s. Best known for playing Prince Hal in _Henry IV Part I (1979)_ (qv), _Henry IV Part II (1979)_ (qv) opposite Sir 'Anthony Quayle' (qv) and later the title role in _Henry V (1979)_ (qv) in the 'BBC Shakespeare Television series'. Other leading roles included the Television mini series _Anna Karenina (1977)_ (qv), _Lillie (1978)_ (qv), _Peter and Paul (1981)_ (qv) opposite 'Anthony Hopkins' (qv), _The Barchester Chronicles (1982)_ (qv) opposite 'Donald Pleasence' (qv), _The Citadel (1983)_ (qv) with 'Daniel Day-Lewis' (qv) and _Hanlon (1985)_ (qv) in which he won the New Zealand Televison/Film award for best lead actor. He made his feature film debut in the 'Walt Disney' (qv) film'_The Island at the Top of the World (1974)_ (qv).
