Theatrical training and touring with theatre companies such as The National Youth Theatre and 'Theatre of the oppressed' companies such as African Tiata Fahodzi and Cardboard Citizens afforded him a solid foundation. His first television appearance was a BBC adaption of emotionally charged theatre production The Foolish Young Man (2007) starring 'David Harewood' (qv), (_Blood Diamond (2006)_ (qv),_The Merchant of Venice (2004)_ (qv).It was whilst playing the domestically abusive lead in 'The Boys' (2008)at the National Theatre that he garnered interest. He subsequently auditioned and given his first break by 'Dan Hubbard' (qv) as the sadistic nemesis 'Carl' to 'Michael Caine' (qv) in Brit cult thriller _Harry Brown (2009)_ (qv) starring 'Michael Caine' (qv) and 'Emily Mortimer' (qv).::P.
