Hardik Mehta

'Hardik Mehta' (qv) is a filmmaker who likes to work in both fiction and non-fiction. Amdavad Ma Famous (2016), his documentary film has traveled extensively at film festivals world over including HotDocs Canada, PalmSprings Film Festival and has won several awards including the Swarna Kamal, National Award for Best Non-Feature Film (2015). The film was also selected by French Academy of Cinema to be shown across 24 cities in Europe and Hardik was invited at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris along with 31 other filmmakers from around the world.In 2017, he co-wrote the engaging survival thriller Trapped, starring Rajkummar Rao, directed by Vikramaditya Motwane; which got him his first Filmfare Award Nomination for Best Screenplay. He also wrote & directed The Affair - a short film presented by Drishyam Films that has received more than 5 millions views on social media platforms.In 2020, his debut fiction feature Kaamyaab released theatrically with rave reviews. Kaamyaab is produced by superstar Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment and Drishyam Films and it stars the brilliant actor Sanjay Mishra. Kaamyaab also had its world premiere at the prestigious Busan International Film Festival in South Korea. Hardik's second feature film is the upcoming 'Roohi-Afzana' which is being produced by Maddock Films and Mrigdeep Lamba. It stars Rajkummar Rao, Janhvi Kapoor and Varun Sharma, it would be releasing later this year.In 2017-18, Hardik also co-wrote Paatal-Lok, an Amazon Special limited series of 9 episodes which is produced by Clean Slate films.::Anonymous
