Rhonda Freeman-Baraka is an NAACP-nominated writer/director based in Atlanta, Georgia. Most recently, she directed Lifetime's star-studded "Pride and Prejudice Atlanta," an all-black, updated version of the Jane Austen classic, and "Downsized," a family comedy starring real-life husband and wife Boris Kodjoe and Nicole Ari Parker.She has written twenty-two produced television movies including "Pastor Brown," "Bobbi Kristina," "The Miki Howard Story," "For the Love of Ruth," "Coins for Christmas," "Heritage Falls," and "The Secret She Kept."She wrote two of the three highest-rated original movies for TV One (Miki Howard and Bobbi Kristina) and directed one of its highest-rated unscripted episodes (Uncensored: Tamar Braxton).She also contributed two episodes to season two of the popular Bounce TV drama "Saints and Sinners."Ms. Baraka created and wrote all five installments of the popular UP TV Chandler Family Christmas movie franchise, starring Malinda Williams, Victoria Rowell and Greg Alan Williams and directed the last three installments.
